July 15th marked 9 blissful years of marriage for us! Okay - perhaps blissful doesn't describe every day of these past 9 years, but I am thankful for a blessed marriage and that I have such a wonderful husband! While he was at work on the day of our anniversary, I was blessed by our dear friend, Teree. She invited me to come along with her "daughters" for a day of relaxing and enjoyment. Of course, Valerie came along as well. Teree got her a life jacket so that she can practice water safety!! It is still a little big, but she'll grow into it! We hung out by the lake, swam, read a bit, chatted a lot, and ate yummy food. Thanks for the fabulous day, Teree!
Later that evening, we went to some friends' house for dinner. Our last 2 anniversaries we spent alone together at a nice restaurant. That was wonderful for the time, but now that we have great friends around (and who just happened to invite us over for a BBQ!), we celebrated it with them!
