Oregon Coast

Last weekend we decided (sort of last-minute!) to head to the Oregon Coast. The weather was a cool break from Seattle's heat, and though we enjoyed a few sun breaks, there were lots of clouds and sea-mist too.
Valerie enjoyed her first trip to the coast!
We loved wiggling our toes in the sand!
We stopped at loads of places between Lincoln City and Newport... Cape Foulweather, Devil's Punchbowl, Beverly Beach, Yaquina Bay...

A person can't go to this part of the coast without stopping at Mo's for their Famous Clam Chowder! We opted for Mo's West at Devil's Punchbowl because it wasn't nearly as busy as the others.
Most of the ride, Valerie did really well in car seat - especially when she got to play with her current favorite toy - the colorful, crinkly cow!On our way hope we opted to head north on Hwy 101 a bit, seeing some fun towns like Rockaway Beach & Manzanita. The highlight, however, was the Tillamook Cheese Factory! I'd never been there before and Micah hadn't been since he was quite young. It was fun!
SO much cheese... and we enjoyed tasting some of their specialty cheeses!
Valerie thought the whole trip was just FABULOUS. She wants to know when we can go on another road trip!

It looks like you had a blast. She is so cute and makes me smile. I have been to Manzanita, it is really cute town there. I hope you had some Chocolate Peanut butter icecream or coffee flavored. :) Tell Val in 6 weeks you'll get to go back.
