"Adventure" for the weekend: Daniel comes to visit!

It'd been just over 4 years since we last saw this guy...so good to see him again!  Of course, this time the number of Pilgrims increased from 3 to 5, but Daniel willingly jumped right in, becoming the girls' new best friend!

We first met Daniel in London over 6 years ago - he and Micah worked together.  This weekend, they visited the BMW Museum together (you'll have to ask one of them for pictures of that!) and had a "guys day," then we met up for dinner at our favorite local beer garden, Schlosselgarten.

Like I said, Daniel quickly became the girls' new best friend...and they treated him like family.  Hugs, kisses, and even bedtime book reading. :)
Of course, we did the touristy things in the old town, like the glockenpsiel, Viktualianmarkt, and even found the "surf" zone on the Isar River at the south end of the English Gardens!
(If you want to see a close up of Elsie's "owie" - here it is.  Stitches were removed yesterday though and all is looking good!)

"It's a small world after all" runs through my head as we randomly ran into my old college roommate - from my Freshman year!  Allyson and her husband Casey were on a bike tour in Munich, so we didn't have long to chat, but it was great to see her!

We ended the time with a visit to the Hofbrauhaus.  Micah and I had not been yet either, so it was a first for everyone!  Cheers (or in German - Prost!) all around!

Well, actually, we really ended the trip with ice cream on the way home! :)  It's all about the treats with these 2 girls!
Thanks for visiting, Daniel!  You are such a good sport with the girls and are welcome back ANYTIME! :)
