Visit to Salem & Halloween

Last weekend, we made a quick trip to Salem! Micah had to head down there for work, so the whole family went! It was Kate's first "big" car ride and thankfully her big sister (though she's made the trip to Oregon many times) is finally doing better in the car on road trips! (Note: I did not say GREAT... just BETTER!)

Our friends Mark & Eva came up from Junction City to have dinner with us! Here is Valerie & Anders... I totally missed the photo opportunity when Anders had his arm around Valerie... too sweet!
On Saturday, Aunt Stacey, Aunt Steph & their kids came down from Portland!
While we emptied a couple pumpkins of their seeds for roasting...
... Kate got cuddled by her cousins!

We made it home on Sunday just in time for a surprise visit from our friends Mike & Katy, along with their girls Ryan & Finleigh... the family was dressed as the Incredibles and they looked AWESOME!

Valerie was a pretty cute strawberry (thanks, Becky Jones, for her adorable costume! It came all the way from London!)
She had fun trick-o-treating... at all 5 houses! :) We only visited the houses of people on our street that she knows well. I didn't want her to get spooked by surprise or something. It was funny because at the first couple of houses she didn't really know what to do. By the 3rd house though, she was loading up her bag with HANDFULS of candy. Thank goodness we have gracious & generous neighbors!!
