My friend, Laura, just e-mailed this to me (thank you, Laura!)... it was taken on Friday, September 17th... about 21 hours before Kate was born. What a belly, huh? So glad I don't look like that anymore!
Valerie & Kate both had check-ups today.
Val's 18 month: She weighs 22lbs! Hurray for her! But that still only puts her at the 25%! She is just over 35 inches tall... above the 95% and the height of an average 30-month old!
Kate's 1 month: She weighs 9lbs, 6oz, which is actually in the 95%! To give you a comparison, Val was exactly 9lbs, which was the 50%. Kate is 22.5 inches long, which is the 75% (Val was 23inches, which was the 95%).
It amazes me how such a small amount can make a big difference is the percentages, and its fun to compare the two girls. I'm sure that by the time there 12 & 13 years old, they'll be a bit tired of us doing it all the time, but for now ignorance is bliss. :)
BY THE WAY... Valerie went potty in the toilet for the first time today! HURRAY!! We aren't pushing the potty-training thing, but she's into it right now and I figure that whatever can get me out of changing diapers for two kiddos faster is OK with me!
