Grandma & Grandpa Hill's Visit
We had our first visitors in our new house! We welcomed my mom and dad on Saturday morning - it was SO good to see them and fun to have them visit! Valerie and Grandpa had fun playing with the squash & gourds on the kitchen table...
We went to the Yakima fruit market to pick out fresh apples and other fruit, then went for a little walk on Main Street in Bothell.
We had dinner at a yummy Mexican restaurant (its in the background of the photo below in which Valerie is grabbing Grandpa's goatee!).
They totally blessed us with loads of great things for our house. It conveniently worked out that they've recently down-sized in house and because we've up-sized, they graciously pulled a U-Haul trailer behind them for 8 hours all the way up here and shared some wonderful things with us... here are just a couple of them.

Here is our guest bedroom! Bedspread, nightstand, dresser and chair, all courtesy of my parents! :)
I also now have a sewing cabinet, plenty of clothes and toys for Valerie, a hope chest, as well as pumpkins, cornstalks and giant dried sunflowers for decorating our front porch! (We're expected to have 350+ children knocking on our door for Halloween this year - so we're accepting candy donations, should you wish to particpate! Hee, hee!)
