5 Wonderful Things About Valerie

1. She yawns just like her daddy - mouth open, arms up in the air with her fists in tight little balls... so cute!

2. 99% of the time, she wakes up (from nap or night-time sleep) in a really good mood, smiling her great big gummy grin!
3. She is reaching and grabbing for things! It happened for the first time just the other day when our friend Ashley was holding her. Val was staring at the zipper on Ashley's jacket and though it took 2 attempts, she reached out and grabbed it! No she is grabbing for her feet and her toys!
4. She GIGGLED! A goofy, girly, bubbly giggle! Previously her laugh was sort of a "huh, huh, huh" sound, but the other night when Sam & Maddie were over (we have witnesses!), I was tickling her cheek with her toes - they are SO flexible at this age - and she full-on giggled. She hasn't done it since, but we keep trying!5. She is an AMAZING sleeper! She has weaned herself from the early morning (between 5-6am) feeding and now sleeps till at least 7 am - generally more like 7:30 or 8! With her bedtime being between 9 and 9:30pm, that's around 10-11 hours straight. Praise the Lord!!
