Starnberg Adventure

What to do on a rainy Saturday, when all the tourists are flooding into Munich for the start of Oktoberfest?

Leave town and head to Starnberg to see the lake!

The train ride wasn't THAT long, but we were definitely ready to get out a move around...

 Good thing we got those rain jackets! :)  On a clear day, one can see the Alps from here, but of course, we'll just have to see those pics someone else took because we certainly couldn't see any mountains on this cloudy September day.

 Despite the rain, there was a little vender fair going on...fun to browse!

 One of the churches in the area... slightly raining, but the girls had fun jumping from stone to stone, staying on different colors! (There's a game to played ANYWHERE when you're a kid.)

 The architecture was beautiful on a handful of the buildings, though I didn't take very many pictures because of the rain!

Though the weather wasn't idea, the lake side town was a nice little change of pace from the everyday!
