Our friends, the Vicks, stayed in a lovely house on Lopez Island the week after Christmas and invited us to join them for New Years! We stayed 2 nights and it was SO wonderful that we wish we could have stayed longer!

(Kate's first ferry ride, but Val is quite experienced with it... though it was fun because it was the first time she understood what a BOAT was and that we were actually ON ONE!)

What a beautiful and relaxing time away. I love these photos that reveal the beauty of God's creature. My favorites are of Valerie wearing her brown hat and showing off her own bright red "Rudolph" nose, and the ones of Kate's big, blue eyes. Much love to you all! Mom
